It’s that time of year again when the famous Chicago Air and Water show makes its way back to the lakefront, and believe it or not, 2015 marks its 57th year. Chances are, if you’ve lived in the Chicago area for awhile now, you probably already know what to expect—some pretty cool demonstrations from a variety of naval and aviation teams, both from the military, as well as civilians.
However, as a refresher, here’s a few quick facts about this year’s show, and what you can expect should you decide to fight the 1.5 to 2 million people who usually attend:
What time does the Chicago Air and Water Show start?
As always, the show runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Where should I watch the Chicago Air and Water Show?
Anywhere along the lakefront provides some pretty neat views of the show, however, North Avenue Beach is right where all the action will be.
How much does it cost?
The Chicago Air and Water Show is free. So there’s no excuse not to swing by and check it out!
Will food and drinks be available?
A variety of vendors will be on-hand that sell hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, nachos, ice cream, soda, and water. Note, alcohol and grilling is prohibited at the show.
