LOOK: Images of the New Maggie Daley Park in the Loop

Back in August of 2012, plans for the 20-acre Maggie Daley Park were first introduced, and now, nearly three years later, the gorgeous new green space that sits just northeast of Grant Park is now in it’s first summer and is a huge hit among locals and visitors to the city.

Included in the outdoor space is a one-quarter mile long ice skating ribbon, rock climbing walls, a huge playground, three open lawns, picnic groves, and even a cafe. In all, Chicago’s Maggie Daley Park cost $60 million to build, but after your first visit to this majestic new downtown attraction, you’ll probably agree it was money well spent. For anyone who has yet to make their way down to the Loop’s newest attraction, here’s a few looks at what you can expect to see:
