Old Town Park ChicagoThe final Old Town Park apartment tower is now under construction. Crews recently began work on the new high-rise on Chicago’s Near North Side.

Phase three of Old Town Park consists of a 41-story building complete with more than 450 rental units. The building will also provide space for offices on its lower levels, a parking garage and a sixth-floor amenity deck.

The new tower joins the already complete phase one high-rise and the phase two tower, which is currently still under construction at the corner of Hill and Wells streets. The second tower plans to open up early next year and is already pre-leasing units to prospective new tenants.

It’s all part of a plan to turn the old Atrium Village housing complex into a new, redeveloped site. An

Residential DevelopmentMore than 860 new residential units are coming to Lakeshore East. Crews recently broke ground on the new Cirrus and Cascade buildings, which will eventually rise up separately from a shared parking podium and landscaped park, connecting up to the Chicago Lakefront Trail and lower Lake Shore Drive.

The 47-story Cirrus building promises more than 360 condos priced starting in the $400,000s. Meanwhile, the neighboring Cascade building will stand 37-stories high, complete with around 500 rental apartments.

It’s expected the first residents of Cascade will move in sometime in the summer of 2021. New residents should move into Cirrus later that year. Eventually plans also call for a third residential tower on the north side of the property, which for now

New Construction Cabrini Green ChicagoThe former site of the old Cabrini-Green housing project could soon see new development. Developers hope to bring in a mixed-income project of nearly 500 residential units to the corner of Larrabee Street and Clybourn Avenue.

Developers recently filed a zoning application with the city to turn the wedge-shaped land into an 18-story tower followed by two mid-rise apartment buildings and townhouses. While around 200 of the residences would be market rate apartments and townhomes, another 80 or so would be affordable-rate and the rest would go to those on waiting lists for the Chicago Housing Authority.
