The Loop

Chicago Loop Real EstateJust east of Millennium Park, the Loop was named after the cable cars that used to be turned around by pulley in the city center. Today, the elevated trains make a square loop around the perimeter. The Loop is the primary financial business district of the city, home to the Chicago Board of Trade and headquarters of Fortune 500 companies, technology companies and various professional services. In recent years there has been a revitalization of the “theater district” and an influx of Broadway shows.

Many new condominium buildings have sprung up, as the downtown luxury housing market has grown to alleviate time-consuming suburban commutes. The Heritage at Millennium Park was the first project — a classic residential tower. The newest development is The Legacy, with its modern architecture, stunning glass facade and extraordinary amenities. The unique shape of this slender tower allows for spectacular views of the lake and Millennium Park. Park Monroe is an office building with a portion of the complex recently converted to luxury condo properties.
