Moving is a chore, and whether you’re doing it yourself or you’ve hired movers to assist you with the packing, it can be a stressful time. While you may feel compelled to offer your two hands, sometimes, a gift is all your friends need to let them know you care. If you’re looking for a luxury gesture to send your friends on their way or to welcome newbies to the neighborhood, check-out LuxeBox.
"Some people have called us Welcome Wagon on steroids," said Mike Ruskin, vice president of sales for Sandow, publisher of Luxe Interiors + Design magazine and creator of the LuxeBox. It’s 15 pounds of luxury living all wrapped up in a pretty little bow. Each LuxeBox includes goodies from designers, remodelers, and suppliers of cabinetry, carpeting, home electronics, and more. It’s the perfect way to acquaint someone with their new Chicago luxury home while at the same time saying, ‘Welcome to the neighborhood!’
Ruskin says they recently teamed up with the real estate brokerages around the country to help get the word out about LuxeBox. Real estate agents hand-delivered the LuxeBox to their clients who purchased (or who were about to close on) homes priced at $1 million or more. According to researchers, home buyers spend the most money in the first six months of new home ownership, buying things like furniture, appliances, and more.
And according to Ruskin, “In the upper brackets, it's almost routine for new owners to consider substantial changes in order to put a personal stamp on their new home.” From bathroom refreshes to kitchen remodeling, new home owners are experts at finding projects where they can spend their money. And the LuxeBox gives real estate agents and easy way to keep their names top-of-mind with clients.
Ruskin says the estimated cost of an individual LuxeBox and its contents is $500. It contains a Fred Segal limited-edition throw, a design portfolio and linen-wrapped attache that features the work of numerous designers, an iPad to store notes, tear sheets for interior design ideas, custom monogrammed stationery, a membership in a private concierge service, a stainless-steel measuring tape, and more. Additionally, LuxeBox recipients are also given a subscription to Luxe Interiors + Design.
