1001 S. State Rentals, Chicago IL A new, multi-family residential tower will soon be coming to the South Loop.  Joining in with a number of developers already constructing towers in the same part of Chicago, Golub & Co. teamed has with a mixed-use complex owner to construct the 41-story high-rise.

Located at 1001 S. State Street, Golub is working with CIM Group of Los Angeles on the project.  Planned for 397 units, the $130 million project is CIM Group’s second largest apartment development in the city.  The same company is behind the Block 37 shopping center, constructed in 2012 on State Street.  It also is behind the 690-unit residential tower that tops it.  This makes more than 1,000 apartments being constructed by CIM Group in the city.

Chicago's Top Selling Neighborhoods For Condos & TownhomesWhen it comes to Chicago’s top selling neighborhoods for condos and townhomes the answer is perhaps just as diverse as the city itself.  While overall home sales within the city were up about 6.3 percent for August 2015, the sales were widely spread out across a number of unique Chicago neighborhoods.

When comparing numbers from Redfin, total home sales were at the highest levels in the Near North Side.  The next top contender was Lincoln Park.  The Loop and West Loop came in at the other end of the rankings.  

While the Near North Side saw the most sales activity, though, home sales were actually down between July and August by about 24.2 percent.  This trend stayed consistent across some of the most active neighborhoods in Chicago.  Homes sales fell 31.2…

Cash Sales in Chicago The City of Chicago is continuing to see cash sales decline in terms of real estate.  In fact, just released cash sales data from the month of June shows the trend could continue, and predicts what that means if it continues its downward trend for the next couple of years.  

The data comes from CoreLogic, a leading analytics, global property information and data solutions provider that helps give some insight into the nation’s real estate economy.  The company points to national statistics, showing that cash sales made up about 31.3 percent of all home sales for the month of June.  That’s down from the same period of time last year, which saw cash sales at about 33.9 percent.
