A unique condo development is in the works for a Lincoln Park parcel that currently features a stand-alone single-family home, as well as roughly six lots of vacant land that now act as a private bird sanctuary.

According to a report from Crain’s Chicago Business, a pair of local developers are looking to build 8 new luxury condos on the parcel, in addition to rehabbing the existing home, which of course would all be situated along a small stretch of Arlington Place right in the heart of Lincoln Park.

An initial rendering has been released of the project, which was designed by Chicago-based architecture firm Booth Hansen. For the most part, the traditional look and feel of the design, as well as the brick and limestone exterior, mesh quite well with the surrounding area, and as of now, units are planned to include between 2,400 and 3,200 square feet of living space and start somewhere close to $1.3 million.
