Chicago dog boardingPet parents who also travel for business are often faced with the tough task of dropping off their dog or cat for boarding while they're away. The thought of leaving their beloved four-legged family member in an unfamiliar place, or worse, a crate, can cause a lot of anxiety and guilt. Fortunately, Chicago luxury home owners have another choice thanks to Paradise 4 Paws billed as "Chicago's premier resort for cats and dogs.”

With locations near both O’Hare and Midway, owner Saq Nadeem says he came up with the idea while attending Northwestern’s Kellogg School. He adds, "We go above and beyond in a lot of different ways.”

This pet-friendly luxury haven caters to furry guests by offering poolside views, private rooms with flat screen TVs, bottled-water only service, and pampering services like haircuts, massages, and manicures in the full-service grooming area. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There’s a bone-shaped wading pool for active pooches, or you might treat them to the “Urban Nature Hike” where they’re taken for a private walk. Needy pups can also opt for 10- or 20-minute cuddle sessions.

Deluxe Suites start at $49 per night, but fancier accommodations that include 24-hour webcams so you can keep an eye on your pet from wherever you are cost a little more. For the ultimate in luxury, treat them to the Executive or Presidential Suites that cost $65 and $80 per night, more than nearby people hotels.

Paradise 4 Paws is open 24 hours a day year-round, and books up weeks before major holidays. Nadeem says what sets them apart is the fact that they never say no to a client’s request so long as it’s safe for their other guests. They have gone out to buy more of pet’s favorite treats, read bedtime stories to pets, and more. They also take older dogs who need medication and are often turned away by other boarding facilities. Additionally, they are the only Chicago boarding facility that will inject insulin by needle for cats.

Nadeem adds, "If they call us and there's something we don't provide, we don't want to turn them away. We'll find a solution, whether that's with us or with someone else. ... We can never say 'No.' We'll figure out a way to help them out."
