Gold Coast Lakefront Condos For Sale

Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood has one of the highest densities of lakefront condos in all of downtown. Starting with the historic vintage co-ops that line East Lake Shore Drive to the countless high-rises that run north all the way up to the borders of Lincoln Park, the Gold Coast truly has it all when it comes to impressive waterfront condominium residences in the heart of the city.

Some of my favorite Gold Coast condo buildings on the lakefront include 1000 Lake Shore Plaza, The Carlyle, and 1500 N. Lake Shore, but what really makes living along Chicago’s famed Lake Shore Drive special is that regardless of the building, the unobstructed views of Lake Michigan are absolutely gorgeous.

Last week, Zillow released their monthly Buyer-Seller Index for Chicago—a report that helps determine the top buyer’s and seller’s markets in a given area based on stats like days on market, rate of price cuts, and sales-to-list price ratio. To the surprise of some, Streeterville and the Gold Coast are among Chicago’s top buyer’s markets due to what seem like two somewhat compelling figures.
