St. Patrick’s Day may be long past, but you’ll have plenty of reason to break out the green cheering on racers of the Shamrock Shuffle 8K. The traditional kickoff for the running season starts and ends in Grant Park, taking participants throughout the downtown area beginning bright and early on April 3.

From sports to the arts, there’s plenty of fun going on all month long. CIMMfest, a celebration of 99 bands and films packed into a four-day showcase, kicks of April 13. Held in the neighborhoods of Logan Square and Wicker Park, the event highlights local galleries, theatres, bars and venues.
