A Look at Several Major West Loop Developments Coming Through the Pipeline

It doesn’t appear that large-scale development in the West Loop will be slowing down anytime soon, especially as several more major projects get ready to break ground in this rapidly-growing part of the Windy City.
Earlier this spring, developers behind Gr333n, a 19-story office tower at 333 N. Green Street, secured a building permit, and foundation work for the project has already gotten underway. Look for Gr333n to be wrapped up sometime in early 2020, at which point London-based advertising firm WPP will officially open its new Chicago offices.
Union West is also another high-profile project in the works for the West Loop, which will stand 15-stories high and include 358 apartment residences, parking for just 255 vehicles, and 12,000 square feet…

One of downtown Chicago’s highest-profile residential developments is making some noteworthy changes, according to a recent report out from the Chicago Tribune. Fewer than two years after construction began, the mega South Loop development dubbed Riverline is now being split into two separate projects.
Chicago’s North Side presents an array of impressive new construction condos to choose from.
While new construction in Chicago can be pricey, it’s certainly possible to find an option in the area for less than $700,000.
Condo units within the new 1550 N Clark development are now up on the MLS, presenting a new option for luxury high-rise living in the area. The new project includes fantastic views of both Lake Michigan and Lincoln Park, as well as some area landmarks and Chicago area attractions.
Several new boutique condo developments are in the works right now, including contemporary residences with sophisticated features.
A high-profile condo development in downtown Chicago now has listings featured on the MLS. Dubbed 1000M, the spectacular new tower, which will stand 74 stories high once finished, currently has 12 units listed that range from $570,000 for a one-bedroom/one-bathroom layout all the way up to over $8 million for one of the four-bedroom/four-and-a-half bathroom penthouse residences.
Despite a steady stream of new apartment developments being brought to market over the last few years, Chicago’s luxury rental market has remained strong over the course of 2017. Just this year alone, thousands of new units were delivered all over the city, and 2018 also promises to bring a number of new high-profile projects that won’t leave anybody looking for a new place to call home disappointed. 
A number of west side neighborhoods have significantly grown in popularity over the last couple years, including Ukrainian Village—a place that's one of the trendier places home buyers are considering right now.
