More People Seem to be Moving to Chicago, According to Recent Study

In case you missed it, back in September, St Louis-based moving company United Van Lines released its annual list of metropolitan areas clients seem to be moving to and from during the fairly-typical warm weather moving season, and this year, the list happened to catch our eye. 

In recent years, more people seemed to be moving out of the Windy City rather than making it a destination for their new home; but now, it seems that trend is slowly but surely starting to reverse. According to United Van Lines, Chicago was actually the most popular place to move to during its four month study over May through August, followed by Washington, Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, Dallas, Phoenix, and New York.

With Thanksgiving fast-approaching, it's time to start seriously thinking about the upcoming holiday season, which means kicking off the many fun-filled traditions that make late-November and much of December such a special time of the year here in the Windy City. Downtown Chicago has all kinds of special holiday customs, but few quite as unique as the CTA Holiday Train, now in it's 23rdseason.
